Instagram checkout is a game-changer for brands as it provides a seamless and convenient way for customers to purchase products directly through the messaging app. With BIK Journeys you can enable one for your brand. Here’s how you can do it.

Getting Started

To create a journey of your own. , select ‘Journey’ on the BIK dashboard, then ‘New Journey’ in the top right corner, followed by ‘Create new journey’. After selecting your desired channel, the journey builder page will be displayed.

Walkthrough of Existing Journey

You can also choose the pre-existing template from the template library and make edits wherever required.

  1. Click on the Starting Point block, select ‘Add trigger then ‘Keywords’ if you want the chat flow to start each time your customer types "Hi”. Then add all the probable keywords your customers would use to initiate a conversation with you.

  1. Connect the ‘Starting Point’ to a message block that guides the customers to checkout or view more products.

  1. Connect the checkout button to add to the checkout API. You can then get the customer’s delivery address by using the ‘Generic message’ and ‘Ask customer’ blocks.

    1. After gathering the customer’s delivery address connect a ‘Custom API’ block to draft the order detail. The next step is to confirm the mode of payment. For this, you can use a message block with buttons for the modes of payment you offer.

    1. Connect the Preferred payment block to custom APIs (to apply shipping on the Order). Use the message block and appropriate variables, to send a review message for your customers to check before proceeding with the checkout.

  2. After sending the review message attach a custom API with the payment link (for pre-paid orders) and complete order (COD order). As a final step send a confirmation message along with the tracking order.
